A deep dive into the vibrant story of Beyond Today's Headlines

Beyond Today's Headlines began in my apartment. I've always been curious about news and information. I believe that a better understanding of information leads to better decision-making. Some of my inspiration for this show have been John and Hank Green through their educational Crash Course videos, Apple News In Conversation with Shumita Basu, and Vox's Today Explained podcast.

Our goal is to bring the news to a place that is accessible. Sometimes the news is hard to understand. As journalists, we need to strive to break those barriers down and transform our messaging into something more people can understand.

I finally decided to launch Beyond Today's Headlines after an interview I had with Jill Stein during the 2024 presidential election cycle in the United States. Donald Trump had just won the election and I sympathized with Americans frustrated with the economy and political system. So I decided to create what you see here. It's not much yet, but together, you can help me show others how I understand the world.
